Our History : 23 years – looking back

1981

Mitsubishi Electric Ireland began trading in Dublin, operating as a branch of the UK office. The branch achieved a turnover of £IR1m in first year of trading.

1982

In our second year of operations in Ireland, turnover grew to £IR4.5m, indicative of the Irish consumers need for high quality electronic products.

1984

Our consumer products, TVs and Videos, achieved market leadership in Ireland. In that same year we invested in and established an OEM unit to meet the intense demand in the rapidly growing computer industry for monitors, disk drives and other equipment.
